DESCRIPTION:The next Infectious Diseases Special Interest Group (SIG) will take place on Thursday 12 March in Leicester. The theme for this SIG is ‘Infection control of biofilms: new perspectives on tackling a persistent problem’. \nThe event will include presentations on: \n– Communicating with biofilms to improve removal \n– Biofilm and its effect on Vascular Access Devices \n– Commercialisation of an anti-biofilm polymer coating \n– Novel approaches to probing the microniches of biofilms and develop enhanced antimicrobial strategies \n  \nThis free to attend event is held as part of the SoLSTICE programme – a project part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund\,  click here to be re-directed to further information about the project.
