DESCRIPTION:The NIHR Invention for Innovation (i4i) Programme is launching another round of the FAST scheme – Funding At the Speed of Translation. This online briefing webinar will provide an opportunity to find out more about the competition\, hear from the i4i Programme Director\, and how i4i FAST can support innovators. \nAgenda \n12:30 – 12:35  Welcome\n12:35 – 12:45  A FASTer way to accelerate innovation\n12:45 – 12:55  Setting the stage: acquired brain injury\n12:55 – 13:05  i4i FAST call: The details\n13:05 – 13:15  Past i4i FAST award holder\n13:15 – 13:45  Q&A session\n13:45 – 13:50  Closing remarks \nThe theme for FAST Call 4 is development of innovative healthcare technologies for acquired brain injury. FAST will open to applications from 18 September 2024\, and the deadline for submissions will be 23 October 2024. The available budget is approximately £1.5m. FAST is aimed at innovators in need of a small amount of funding to answer a specific question or to fund a single piece of activity to advance healthcare technologies and interventions for increased patient benefit. Awards are designed to address an evidence gap and innovations must have demonstrated experimental proof of concept as a minimum. For more information\, please see the i4i FAST applicant guidance. \nKey features of FAST: \n\nRapid turnaround\, approximately 6 to 8 weeks from submission to decision.\nSimple application (3 questions and short word limit).\nBetween £50k to £100k of funding over 6 to 12 months.\nProjects must start by 01 February 2025.\n\n
