SUMMARY:Insights for Industry: Routes to Market and NHS Adoption
DESCRIPTION:       \nThe aim of this industry-focused event\, hosted by Medilink Midlands and Nottingham Trent University (NTU)\, is to offer information and insights into routes to market and NHS adoption for new innovations. In 2015 he joined the Department of Health with the Clinical Evaluation Team to prove the concept that involving clinicians nationally within procurement could improve the quality\, safety and value of products used in the NHS. The success and alignment to Lord Carter Report into “unwarranted variation” helped to establish clinicians at the centre of NHS Supply Chain. After working to establish the Clinical and Product Assurance Team he joined Collaborative Procurement Partnership CPP in 2018 to help embed the clinical voice into procurement activity. Marc is currently focused on the following product areas. Orthoses and Podiatry\, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy\, Immobilisation and Prosthetics. \n \nFay Allen\, Innovation Specialist\, NHS Supply Chain \nFay has been a registered nurse for 24 years\, and has worked across the United Kingdom and Ireland\, in a variety of Roles and clinical specialties.  Fay Moved to NHS Supply chain 4 years ago as part of the Clinical and Product Assurance Directorate\, as a Product Assurance specialist\, her work in this area focused on Novel and new innovation products\,  co – developing the Innovation pathway with in NHS supply chain Focusing on eth Clinical need and the value for patients and Clinicians and her current position as Innovation Specialist. \nMichaela Russell\, Innovation Specialist\, NHS Supply Chain \nMichaela has worked in Procurement for 17 years\, across national and regional projects from Pharmaceuticals\, clinical and non-clinical procurement.  Areas of employment \, Resource procurement hub\, East Midlands pharmacy collaborative\, within local trust Nottingham University Hospitals before moving to NHS Supply chain 5 years ago as a category Tower Manager\, during this time she worked closely with NHSE on the Med Tech Funding Mandate policy and implemented this within NHS Supply chain\, this lead on to her co developing  the Innovation pathway  focusing on legal compliant routes for Innovations and her current position as Innovation Specialist. \n \nSachin Gohil\, Chief Commercial Officer\, Apos Health \nSachin is responsible for market adoption of Apos across the NHS. He has over 20 years of experience in healthcare\, having held clinical specialist and senior leadership roles at one of the largest acute Trusts in the UK. Previously\, Sachin was the Principal Pharmacist leading medicine optimisation programs at Optum UK. He is a passionate advocate for change and has led complex change processes within multi-provider organisations and systems\, acquiring a deep understanding of patient needs\, staff well-being\, and community development.
