SUMMARY:IN-PERSON EVENT: Securing Better Health\, Ageing and Wellbeing
DESCRIPTION:          \nBy 2040\, nearly one in seven people in the UK is predicted to be aged over 75\, with many living with multiple morbidities.   \nThe Blue Zone Consortium (BZC) is a partnership between Nottingham Trent University\, University of Leicester and Northumbria University Newcastle\, supporting research related to three transversal themes: \n\nMetabolic health\nHealth and ageing across the life course\nTransformative technologies to tackle health inequalities\n\nTheir mission is to support inter-sector collaboration to reduce the gap between health span and lifespan.  \nThe event\nHosted at Clifton Campus\, NTU\, this event will facilitate cross-sectoral networking with the aim of sparking ideas for new collaborations between business and universities to aid the advancement of health and anti-ageing initiatives.  The BZC team will share information on the funding opportunity\, with a potential £15k available through the Blue Zone Consortium Flexible Talent Mobility Account (FTMA).
