DESCRIPTION:The workshop is free to staff from NHS organisations within the Midlands region\, and attendance from staff in all roles or grades are encouraged. \nThe NHS recognises that its staff can generate new ideas and concepts\, innovative solutions to problems\, inventions\, or just better ways of working\, that may\, with the right support\, lead to improvements in the running of our hospitals or the delivery of healthcare. Such ideas and concepts are termed Intellectual Property (IP) and\, like other kinds of property\, can be owned and protected. \nYour Trust intends to encourage all its employees to make these sorts of contributions by giving you the advice and support needed to maximise the potential benefits from your good ideas and therefore staff are encouraged to attend the MidTECH IP Workshop for targeted advice and support. \nThis interactive workshop will explore:\n• What is Intellectual Property (IP)?\n• Why is IP important?\n• What are IP Rights?\n• How your research or new ideas can be developed\, protected\, and commercialised with support available from MidTECH. \nThe workshop will be held online via Teams.
