DESCRIPTION:In this Medilink Midlands webinar\, the Office for Life Sciences\, the Government’s specialist team that sponsors the sector\, will present on everything firms developing\, manufacturing and selling Medicines need to know about the end of the Transition Period\, and what will happen next. \nIn particular\, they will cover: \n– The latest on Trade Negotiations with the European Union\, as well as the United States and Australia \n– How the regulation of Medicines is changing from the 1 January\, what your business needs to get ready\, and how the UK will develop a new sovereign system \n–  How the border\, imports and exports will work from 1 January; and \n–  Action that firms need to take on Data\, Immigration and Global Recruitment\, and EU research funding \nThe session will include plenty of time for questions\, as well as guidance on where to go for further information\, support and advice. \nPlease note – this webinar will cover similar material to the webinars run by Medilink Midlands and the Office for Life Sciences on 4 and 23 November. \nDURATION: 1 hour \nSpeaker Profiles: \n\nDr Robert Reid\, Head of Medicines Regulation and Engagement\, Office for Life Sciences\nRobert works in the Office for Life Sciences\, where he is responsible for Medicines Regulation and Business Readiness for the end of the Transition Period. Rob holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Leicester\, and previously worked at the National Physical Laboratory and Which? \n\nElspeth Bailey\, Policy Advisor\, Office for Life Sciences\nElspeth works in the Office for Life Sciences\, where she leads on the Northern Ireland Protocol and supports work on Business Readiness for the end of the Transition Period. Previously\, Elspeth has taught in China\, and worked in the Government team responsible for the Aerospace Sector.
