DESCRIPTION:Researchers in Nottingham have launched a new study platform for the next generation of COVID-19 clinical research: The Nottingham Recovery from COVID-19 Research Platform (NoRCoRP). \nThe platform will bring together projects examining the impacts and lasting effects of COVID-19\, translating findings from patients who are known to have contracted the virus into new approaches to treatment to support their recovery. This event is classed as State Aid to participating businesses\, the value of which is £190\, but is delivered completely free of charge to participants. \nSpeaker Profile: \n\nProfessor Ian Hall\, Director\, NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre \nProfessor Ian is the Director of the NIHR Nottingham\, Biomedical Research Centre. He is a chest physician based at NUH NHS Trust and the University of Nottingham\, and has a long track record of research into the mechanisms underlying the development of a range of lung diseases. He currently chairs the national BRC Director’s forum\, sits on NIHR Strategy Board\, and is a member of UK-CTAP.
