Ian will be talking about how the Department for International Trade is supporting companies post coronavirus in recovery and international opportunities available to Life Science companies. \nAttend to find out about: \n– Trade support available\n– Bounceback support\n– FTA Agreements\n– COVID 19 Support\n– Events \nPlus the opportunity to ask your questions in a Q&A session \nDURATION: 1 hour \n\nSpeaker Profile\n\nIan Harrison\, Head of Exports – Midlands Region\, Department for International Trade  \nIan’s main responsibilities are to lead on the promotion and delivery of International Trade services of behalf of the Department for International Trade (DIT) across both the East and West Midlands\, work closely with and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the UK’s overseas network spanning some 108 countries\, liaise with Ministers\, and lead a programme of events and an expert team of International Trade Advisers. Ian also represents the DIT Midlands Engine team on Trade matters in Whitehall. \nIan has over 25 years’ experience of dealing with publicly funded business support and has worked in several organisations in roles that have provided advice and expertise to all sizes of business. Before joining DIT Ian worked within the Department for Business\, Innovation Foreign & Skills (BIS) where he was an Assistant Director for Business Engagement responsible for areas covering the Government’s Industrial Strategy\, business support\, Innovation and access to finance agendas.
