David’s research involved studies into the effect of cytokine signalling on naïve CD4+ T-cell activation.\nFollowing completion of his studies in 2007\, David worked in industry\, for MedImmune UK Ltd\, before joining AdamsonJones in July 2008. He trained with the firm and completed his qualification as both UK and European Patent Attorney in 2012. David is involved in all aspects of patent drafting and prosecution\, predominantly in the areas of biotechnology and healthcare\, and is also a key member of our Trade Marks team\, having qualified as a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney in 2014.\nDavid is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys\, and a member of the European Patents Institute. \n\nKatherine Wright\, Associate – Patent Attorney\, Adamson Jones IP \nKatherine graduated with a 1st Class Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of York. During her time there she completed a research project into mummification practices in Ancient Yemen\, focusing on identifying substances used in the embalming process. After graduating\, Katherine spent some time as a Research Assistant within the Physics Department at the University of Birmingham where she was part of a research team developing Positron Emission Tomography for use in industry and research.\nKatherine joined AdamsonJones in April 2010\, and trained with the firm. In April 2011 Katherine was awarded the Moss Prize for the candidate achieving the highest aggregate marks in the patent Foundation Papers of the 2010 qualifying examination\, a year later she followed that success by winning the prize for the best performance in the 2011 Advanced Patent Drafting paper\, and then she won the prize for the top mark in the 2012 Advanced Patent Attorneys’ Practice paper. Katherine qualified as a UK patent attorney in April 2013 and as European Patent Attorney in 2014\, and is involved in the full range of patent filing\, prosecution and advisory work for a variety of clients\, predominantly in the fields of pharmaceuticals\, healthcare and related technologies.
