SUMMARY:Preparing your NHS Business Case
DESCRIPTION:This interactive and informative event on ‘Preparing your NHS Business Case’ will enable you to prepare better business cases with input from the EMAHSN staff. \nThis free to attend event is being held as part of the ACTIS programme – a project part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund\, click here to be re-directed to further information about the project. \nDuring the event you will also learn about: \n– What is a business case\, what is its purpose and why it is so important? \n– Who reviews the business case and how are they evaluated from a commissioning point of view? \n– How to construct a good business case \nThe Challenge as a supplier to the NHS is often that when you have a product which from your perspective improves patient outcomes and saves cost you still cannot get it adopted by the NHS. This is often because there is not a fully developed business case\, without this a group within the NHS interested in taking on board a new product or service are unlikely to get approval of the case for change before procurement of the innovation can proceed. \nOrganisations that supply to the NHS are often challenged by the process\, timescales\, evidence and documentary requirements. This can often seem like an unnecessary complication\, or simply a reason to not issue a purchase order. A good business case is fundamental to successful adoption and developing a long term business partnership. Preparing the business case can also be difficult for your NHS contacts because they are busy or not experienced in their preparation and often even more difficult for companies with little or no experience of the process. \nDue to limited seating numbers are now restricted to one delegate per organisation. \nProgramme \nSpeaker Profiles \nDelegate List \nBusiness Case Template \n

SUMMARY:mHealth App National Workshop
DESCRIPTION:SEHTA and ORCHA are holding this workshop on mHealth Apps to help innovators working on app development for mHealth Apps to understand the technical requirements and evaluation for your innovation. \nThe NHS and national health bodies across the world are revolutionising services through the integration of digital health solutions\, leading to more patient-centred and efficient care. SUMMARY:International Trade in 2019 and Beyond
DESCRIPTION:The future of the UK’s international trade landscape remains unclear. There are still questions as to where we are heading in terms of the UK-EU relationship. This poses a number of challenges for businesses that are dependent on cross border trade with the EU\, and require an understanding of what measures can be taken to keep goods moving across the border\, in the event of a No Deal Brexit. In parallel to the EU-UK negotiations\, there are discussions underway that would potentially lead the UK to forming or extending trade relationships with other territories. These new trade arrangements\, so called Free Trade Agreements “FTA”s\, will offer new or improved market access opportunities for those businesses that are positioned to take advantage and understand the requirements placed on an exporter of goods or services. \nWhilst it is not possible to predict the Brexit status by the 12 March\, undoubtedly a viewpoint on the common challenges and opportunities around international trade and the associated compliance requirements will be invaluable. The agenda below has been kept deliberately open and will be flexed according to the position of the UK and Brexit at the time. This event will be hosted by Ursula Johnston and other trade and regulatory specialists who will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. \nBrexit update and what does the current position mean for the Life Sciences sector;\nCustoms compliance for cross border trade: common challenges and solutions;\nAn introduction to Free Trade Agreements;\nInternational trade\, contracts and Incoterms; and\nAdapting to a new regulatory environment.\nThis event is in partnership with Gowling WLG and Medilink West Midlands. \nHot drinks and pastries will be available on arrival. \nTo book please click here
