University of Derby are offering European Social Funded short courses.

All of their European Social Funded programmes are available to employees in all eligible small and medium enterprises across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire (D2N2 region), including paid employees of charities.

There is no cost to participants and you can enrol as many team members as you like.

University of Leicester

Leicester are reaching out to UK Medtech, Healthtech and Biotech sector companies to better understand training and skills needs.

At University of Leicester, School of Engineering, they are developing exciting new IET/IPEM accredited degree courses in Biomedical Engineering (undergraduate and postgraduate) with modules ranging from biomedical materials through to prosthetics, regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, biological imaging, digital healthcare, machine learning and AI.

There are large skills shortages in this sector and they are keen to understand what skills and domain specific knowledge is valued most in new technology/science related staff entering organisations.

They will also be looking for partners for degree placements, potential research projects, degree apprenticeships partners and avenues for graduate careers.

Help to Grow: Management – Nottingham University Business School

Help to Grow: Management is a business support course which helps senior leaders from small and medium-sized businesses to learn skills and strategies for resilience and growth.

This practical management course has been developed by the Small Business Charter in partnership with world-class business schools. It is delivered by business leaders and academic experts with real-world experience of business issues.

The 12-week course includes 50 hours of in-depth training and is 90% subsidised by the government so costs participants £750. You can take part around your existing work commitments and access learning through a blend of online and face-to-face sessions.
