Senior International Officer – £28,000 + Benefits – Nether Lane, Sheffield (S35 9ZX)/Hybrid-working
The Role
Are you confident, friendly and comfortable working with people at all levels internally and externally? Do you have experience of managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously?
We are looking for a strategic, creative and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior International Officer. In this role, you will work within the international team of the UK’s largest association of Life Science and Healthcare Technology organisations. You will be helping companies develop and implement international strategies and drive overseas sales.
We offer a remote working schedule with a requirement to be present in the office each week. Currently all staff are office based on Mondays with the option to then work from home throughout the week.

Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Senior International Officer include, but are not limited to:
- Managing all projects and commercial contracts relating to international exhibitions, events and trade missions.
- Maintain relationships and building relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders.
- Developing new and existing services to better meet the needs of current and future clients.
- Developing key domestic and international relationships that protect, enhance or create commercial opportunities.
- Develop and maintain key commercial relationships with international and domestic partner organisations.
- Coordinate the overall delivery of all international exhibitions and where appropriate trade mission programmes.
- Represent Medilink UK as a Trade Challenge Partner of the Department for International Trade.
- Increase the visibility of Medilink UK as the lead organisation for international exhibitions and trade missions.

The key skills and qualities of a Senior International Officer are:
- Experience of working in an exhibition environment.
- Experience of managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience of budget management.
- An understanding of the strengths, weaknesses and specialties of event/exhibition suppliers.
- Impeccable organisational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and deadline driven.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and make clear decisions.
- Happy to travel when needed, both in the UK and overseas.
