The Role

This is a fabulous opportunity for someone looking to have a real impact in the community and make a difference. The role of the Administrator reports to the Chairman of Morningside Pharmaceuticals Ltd in his role as Founder and Chair of Trustees at the Randall Charitable Foundation.

The Randall Charitable Foundation provides grant funding to a wide range of charities, voluntary and NGOs in the UK and globally which deliver lifesaving and life-changing services. The Administrator will be the main point of contact for grant queries into the foundation and conduct all day-to-day activity.

What will you be doing?

As the first point of contact for the foundation, you will be responsible for a variety of different tasks including:

  • Responding to queries from organisations and individuals about the scheme
  • Provide administration to a high standard across the grants cycle using the database system
  • Attend Trustee meetings and take minutes, where needed
  • Lead on Grant communications and engage with relevant parties to ensure that the process, decision making, and evaluation/ assessment is communicated clearly
  • Prepare papers for grant reviews by the Board of Trustees and produce qualitative grant summaries for board meetings
  • Review each incoming application, conduct due diligence process, and provide recommendations to the Board of Trustees to ensure fair and informative decision-making

The Person

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office & 365
  • Well organised, with multi-tasking ability and a strong eye for detail
  • Experience of Salesforce would be preferable but not essential
  • Good reporting and analytical skills
  • Good people skills and a history of building strong business relationships with internal & external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to write detailed reports and briefs in readiness for Chairman & Board review
  • Able to assimilate information clearly and prepare reports in a clear and concise format; experience presenting at board level meetings would be beneficial but not essential
  • Project management experience would be useful
  • Able to identify trends and themes, and report these back to the Chairman and Board
  • An initiative-taker who is happy to work independently to develop and deliver objectives
