High-tech engineering company, 3P innovation, works collaboratively with global pharmaceutical and medical device businesses to help develop their new products, devices and production processes. This exporting manufacturer is one of a very limited number of companies globally who can design and manufacture this sophisticated and heavily regulated automation.

Today marks the first anniversary of 3P innovation’s Employee Ownership (EO), and the company invited the MP to join the staff in a company-wide celebration.

Mr. Bhatti has taken part in a series of meetings with senior staff at 3P to discuss the potential for enhancing the West Midlands’ life sciences sector. He then enjoyed a tour of the facility and machine demos to experience first-hand the capabilities of the engineering firm. The local MP then joined the rest of the staff in celebrating their anniversary by taking part in a staff barbecue.

This year’s EO theme is growth, and so the Midlands-based firm chose a timely date to inaugurate the next phase of their new development.

The new site, being built by Clowes Developments, will be a 30,000 sq ft purpose-built facility, taking the 3P premises to a combined total of 60,000 sq ft of both office and workshop space. This move will allow for 3P’s workforce to double in size.

Dave Seaward, Founder and Projects Director, commented on the importance of becoming Employee-Owned: ‘Employee Ownership is about investing for the long-term benefit of employees, and ensuring all employees have a voice in big decisions. Since we became employee-owned, our staff are more empowered to control their futures within 3P. This has led to high levels of engagement and job satisfaction. Ultimately, this means that we can plan for significant growth, and our clients and partners can expect excellent service from a stable business well into the future’.
