3P innovation, a leader in advanced automation solutions for the pharmaceutical and cell therapy sectors, has been honoured with a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category, recognising its breakthrough cryoFIL®  technology.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise are among the most distinguished business accolades in the UK, celebrating organisations that demonstrate outstanding achievement in Innovation and International Trade. For more than 50 years, the Awards have recognised companies that strengthen the UK
economy, drive innovation, and create opportunity. Today, they remain one of the most respected symbols of business excellence globally.

cryoFIL® was developed to address one of the key challenges in scaling cell therapies: the efficient, consistent, and sterile filling of cryovials. The system automates cryovial filling from small batches through to large-scale production, delivering a fully hands-off process within a biosafety cabinet. It is compatible with existing freezer racks and supports a wide range of cryovial formats.

A defining feature of cryoFIL is its ability to robustly handle multiple cryovial brands, providing manufacturers with critical flexibility without compromising performance – an important consideration in an evolving and highly regulated field. As cell therapies continue to transform modern medicine, scaling production remains a barrier to broader patient access. Challenges around cost, process control, turnaround time, and traceability must be addressed to enable widespread adoption. Filling represents a critical step in this process, and cryoFIL® delivers measurable improvements in efficiency, consistency, and lead time. It also enables
larger batch processing for cell banking, supporting faster research and development and accelerating the journey from lab to clinic.

Nick Brooks, Managing Director of 3P innovation, commented:
“We are incredibly proud to receive the King’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation. cryoFIL® was developed with a clear purpose: to remove one of the key bottlenecks in cell therapy manufacturing. This recognition reflects the dedication of our team and our commitment to helping make advanced therapies more scalable, reliable, and accessible to patients worldwide.”

Winners of the King’s Awards benefit from global recognition and the opportunity to use the esteemed King’s Awards emblem for the next five years, further strengthening 3P innovation’s position in international markets. This award underscores 3P innovation’s mission to support the advancement of life-changing therapies by delivering innovative, practical solutions that meet the real-world needs of manufacturers.
