A collaboration between two Medilink Midlands members is highlighting the value of being part of a connected, innovation-driven network.
Mastermind Translations is a specialist life sciences translation provider, supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical technology organisations with regulatory-grade translation and localisation services for global markets.
Fellow member Black Space Technology develops scalable telemedicine and telehealth solutions for pre-hospital emergency care in remote and challenging environments, supporting civilian, NGO and military customers internationally.
The two organisations have developed a strong working partnership, helping ensure that complex telemedicine technologies are clearly and accurately communicated across international markets, where translation often forms the first point of contact and plays a critical role in how technologies are understood, trusted and adopted.
Their relationship first began at a West Midlands Health Tech Innovation Accelerator (WMHTIA) event delivered by Medilink Midlands, demonstrating how connections made through the network can evolve into long-term, high-value collaborations.
Reflecting on the partnership, Mastermind Translations shared:
Working with fellow Medilink Midlands member Black Space Technology has been a very positive experience.
From the start, it was clear that the entire Black Space Technology team brings a high level of commitment and attention to detail to everything they do. Those shared values made it possible for us to align closely and support them with production-ready language solutions that reflect the full value of their telemedicine technologies in international markets, where the translation is often the first point of contact and plays a key role in how the product is understood, trusted and used.
What stood out most was the collaborative nature of our projects. There is a strong sense of shared responsibility for the end result, with open communication and a clear focus on getting things right rather than simply getting them done. We regularly discuss terminology choices, exchange feedback on final DTP production, and are always happy to go the extra mile to support urgent last-minute requests.
This is exactly where networks like Medilink Midlands add real value. Being able to connect with organisations that operate to similar standards creates opportunities for meaningful partnership, not just transactional work. The fact that we are local and have met in person further strengthens that partnership.
We are grateful to Medilink Midlands for enabling these connections and look forward to continuing to support Black Space Technology as they expand their international reach.
This collaboration reflects the wider value of the Medilink Midlands network, where connections made through events and shared initiatives continue to evolve into meaningful, long-term partnerships.
